Navratri is round the corner and most of us keep fast…
Some keep for 1-2 days and some for continuous 7 days
Generally fried stuff is made n eaten that results in acidity…
Sharing some healthy options that will keep you light yet full
One such dish is FALAHARI DHOKLA…….yes you read I right vrat ka Dhokla ??
RECIPE
– soak 1 cup samak rice n 1/3 cup saboodana in 1/2 cup curd overnite in refrigerator
( alternatively you can grind the dry powder n store n can be used whenever required …just MIX with curd n ready )
– grind the mixture to have a smooth paste n adjust the water consistency
– add 1 tbspn sugar
– sendha namak to taste
– squeeze half a lemon
– add 1/2 tspn if roasted cumin powder
– now keep the steamer on gas
– grease the thaali
– add eno sachet in batter n MIX with soft hands
– pour the batter in thaali n steam until done
Tempering
– add oil in a Tadka pan
– add curry leaves n sliced chillies
– add 3-4 tbspn water 1/4 tspn sugar
– switch off the gas n add few drops of lemon juice
– make cuts in Dhokla
– pour the tempering
